I don't know who else to tell, but this is big news to me! I just got awarded the Air Force Audiologist of the Year! That is distinguished by the Air Force Recognition Medal. For those in the military, you know how incredible this is, but those that are not...remember back to college your first year and how big it seemed, desperately trying to find a way to make yourself distinct. It is THAT competitive, except on an even bigger scale. Not bad for only being three years out of grad school!
Layla, way to go! that is huge, don't fall into the seven year writing dissertation stage. Good Luck!
Salidino, that is awesome!
Carrie, you KNOW I think your awesome! Hey I got a 123 on my DLAB, what can I do now?
Other news on SHS: David Lovelady is now off the market. He married Amy Wagahoff of St. Louis, MO. They now reside in $Clayton$, MO. they were married earlier this year...it was the most beautiful wedding, EVER! Can you expect less from Lovelady? Reception was at the awesome Grand Central. Dave even found someway to quote Mobb Deep in his vows...that guy is amazing.
Jeremy Jobin is married, NOV 11, 2003, to Jamie Gzesh of Chicago, IL. (He's too humble to even post here.) They reside in Las Vegas, NV. As soon as they were married they headed off to Honduras for a year of mission work. God will bless them.
Oz Jackson (Biloxi, MS), Leon Brown (Mesa, AZ), Shelby Roberson (Houston, TX) or myself(freakin' Omaha, NE, man) don't seem to have plans of tying the knot anytime soon! |

Hey Kwame, Congratulations!!!
And thank you for the updates on the others, sometimes Springfield High seems so far away, but it's good to keep up on what our friends are doing.
Keep up the good work,
Josh |

Hey, Kwame!
Quite the accomplishment in such a short time!! See, Nebraska isn't all that bad. If nothing else, hopefully you will get some recognition that will lead to other things. Can't believe I had to read the message board to find this out, and you coudn't E-MAIL me??!!! Who knows, I could end up there for a visit. I have another friend who just got sationed at good ole Offut AFB. Don't worry everyone, from what I hear, we aren't missing much. Just put in your time, Kwame, and you will get a better base eventually. Happy 4th of July, and thanks for serving in our military!
