I just rec'd a message from Tami saying that Lango passed away last Tuesday. She believes it also was diabetes related.

When I was at home for the holiday I saw Lango's obituary. It is always a shock to see someone I know in the obits. It is even more shocking when it is someone my age who I went to school with. It reminds you how fleeting everything is. I hope her transition to the next life goes smoothly.

That is very sad to hear. Her cousin was searching for her a few months ago, I hope they were reunited before her untimely passing.

Lango Ann Jombla SPRINGFIELD – Lango Ann Jombla, 29, of Springfield, died Tuesday, November 23, 2004 at her residence. She was born November 29, 1974 in Springfield, IL, the daughter of Joye Evan and Joan Miller Jombla. Ms. Jombla was a counselor for the Illinois Department of Corrections at Decatur Correctional Facility since 1993. She attended Christ the King Church and Christ the King School. She was a graduate of Springfield High School, a graduate of Springfield College, received a B.A. in Criminal Justice from University of Illinois at Springfield, and was currently pursuing her Masters Degree. Survivors: mother and stepfather, Joan Jombla-Smith and Dan L. Smith of Savannah, GA; one twin brother, Kebe Evan Jombla of DeKalb; and many family members residing in West Africa. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation. Visitation will be held 4:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, November 29, 2004. Prayers: 4:00 p.m. Funeral Mass: 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 30, 2004 at Christ the King Church, Monsignor David Lantz officiating. Burial: Calvary Cemetery. Staab Funeral Home of Service.
